ಚೆಂದಕ್ಕೆಮರುಳಾದ
ಚೆಂದ ನಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಕುರೂಪ ನಕ್ಕಿತು,
ಮರುಗಿ ಮರುಳನಾದ.
